Hi everybody,
I have Data Validation in column C of my sheet. If a user puts an X in column C and there is already an X in column J, then the Data Validation window pops up warning the user that they are attempting to hide a row in which that particular employee has fixed pay. The in-depth reason for the Data Validation isn't important, but I wanted to just let you know the short version as to why I have Data Validation in column C.
Here's the scenario, and the issue...
Scenario:
1. The user types an X in column C and hits enter, left arrow, right arrow, whatever.
2. Excel sees that there's already an X in column J and triggers the Data Validation pop-up window.
3. The user selects "No" and Excel closes the Data Validation window and returns the user to the sheet.
Issue:
Let's say for example that the user entered an X in cell C10 and hit Enter. Once the user clicks "No" in the Data Validation window, they are returned to the sheet and Excel then shows =C11 with cell C10 selected as though they had used the copy command (see pic below.)
Is there any way to just have Excel return the user to the sheet (in this case to cell C11) without cell C10 (again in this case) being selected as though the user was using the copy command and without it showing =C11?
Thanks for any help provided.
