Hi

I have been struggling to do the following. I have an excel list which contains two columns, the recipients email address and a reference to a unique attachment.
The code I am using allows me to go down the list and send a different attachment to each recipient.
However, I would like to personalise each letter with the recipients first name rather than "Dear Sir/Madam for all the letters.
Look forward to your help

Cheers

David

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Hi,

I have managed to solve this problem myself. Code is shown below.

Set Out = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
With Out.CreateItem(olMailItem)
.Recipients.Add mail 'refers TO line of your outlook..
.Subject = "VERIFICATION List FOR 2008 "
.Body = "Dear" & " " & FirstName & GetLetter("c:\Verification Letter 240608.txt")

Thanks
