I am looking to create a spreadsheet for keeping track of a calibration interval of an instrument. Each instrument will have its own excel sheet with specific information to that instumnet and in each sheet there will be a date that the instrument will need to be sent out for calibration. I am looking to create a spreadsheet that will sit dormant, on my pc or on a network, but when the calibration date comes up it will automatically create a email and attach that specific spreadsheet of notification to let me know that the instrument needs to be sent out for calibration. So an email will be sent to my inbox to let me know that I need to send out an instrument for calibration.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Welcome to the forum,

To achieve this you would need to ask your server administrator to run some script each day at a particular time to open the workbook and check the sheets other than that you could look to import the data into tasks in Oultook to generate reminders. If you want code to do this then look at the following link it may help, there is no easy solution here.
