separating family names

Hello, I am hoping someone might be able to help me with a query to separate two names to make one neat column. There would only be a maximum number of two names but they will be different ,appears to be always separated by & .Example below.
Sometimes family names are different as in below, sometimes they are same as in Colin & Cindy Alderson


Peter Healey
Michael Kent
Fran Houlahan & Brian Johnston
Ricky Maund
Anthony Freedman
