Setting a balance......

How do i set a balance ? I am putting my monthly business expenses on a worksheet for every month. I need to take the ending balance of the previous month and use that as a starting balance. How do I do so ? Any help would be great

If the ending ballance on, say sheetname Jul2007, is in cell K100.

And the current sheetname is Oct2007, and the starting balance is in cell K1. In cell K1 type in:
=Jul2007!K100
