Not me I like the Custom RibbonsYou're better off putting anything you need readily available all the time on the quick access toolbar rather than a ribbon tab.
Correction: The first responder does have it right. The "quick access" toolbar can be checked and it appears below the ribbon. This not everything I want that is on "home" toolbar. I think you missed my point. You cannot make a ribbon tab always be the active tab (unless you disable every other tab, which seems ludicrous).
