My home menu has all my frequent used commands. How can I set it as the default menu. It is a pain to keep hitting "home" to get to my favorite commands.

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
1. Click on File
2. Choose Options
3 Choose Customize Ribbon
4. You should then see how to do it

You're better off putting anything you need readily available all the time on the quick access toolbar rather than a ribbon tab.

I think you missed my point. You cannot make a ribbon tab always be the active tab (unless you disable every other tab, which seems ludicrous).

MW Windows needs to correct this problem. Very disappointed in these answers but sure they are correct.

Correction: The first responder does have it right. The "quick access" toolbar can be checked and it appears below the ribbon. This not everything I want that is on "home" toolbar. But it does help.

So we have provided two different options and have you tried either of them?
