Setting up template reports/charts for dynamic row counts

This is a basic design question. I have a workbook, containing 1 sheet of data and several other sheets of various reports and charts with references back to the data. Everything works (formulas/cell references), but I have to manually edit the chart/report sheets when I bring in different data having different # of rows so that the length of any columns with formulas exactly matches the length of the columns with the data. In other words. Let's say I have a 3 column sheet where A & B link back to the main data sheet, and C requires a formula using A & B. How should I set up my report/chart sheets to handle a dynamic # of rows? where I don't have to edit Column C to match the length of A&B?
My failed attempts at this result in either zeros or error messages (below my rows of data). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
