is there a way to make several cells have the same value. for instance I want A1, A2, and A3 to always have the same value. If I change the value in A2 it changes automatically in the other cells also. Is this possible?

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Try this: right click the sheet tab, select View Code and paste in

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Not Intersect(Target, Range("A1:A3")) Is Nothing Then
    Application.EnableEvents = False
    Range("A1:A3").Value = Target.Value
    Application.EnableEvents = True
End If
End Sub
