Shading Area within a Scatter Graph, Working outSize of area

As the picture shows, I would like to shade in the two areas and then have Excel calculate the size of these areas.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.

Basically I want it like in the attached picture; ( I did this in Paint however). I would then like to calculate the area of each coloured shade.
