Shared File Autofilter & Freeze Panes Bug. Anyone has the answer???

Hi, please see the details below:

Background:
Excel 2007 Shared workbook with Autofilter and Frozen Panes.

Issue:
When a user filters the information and then saves the file, excel changes the frozen panes automatically depending on the filtering used (yes, it does it by itself) even when the workbook is protected and the freeze panes option is grayed... then when other user opens the file sometimes (depending on how far down the pane was "auto refrozen by excel") scroll down won't even move the screen.

Have you been able to come up with the solution for this bug???

Any ideas would be appreciated, thank you!
