Sharing a Workbook for Budgeting

We currently share Workbooks among several users (via email) and have the problem of re-linking Workbooks after the users have made changes. The problem arises when a Workbook is distributed and the user then saves it to their computer or network, and thus, establishes a new file path. When the Workbook is returned, the file path is different from the original file path, and therefore, the links to other Workbooks must be re-established manually.

Are there any solutions within Excel that we're not using? We've looked at Add-In programs the claim to solve these issues... has anyone used any of these programs?

Thanks for the help.
