Sharing document with tables

I am importing data into Excel from a MS query, and am trying to share the workbook. When i do this, it states that "This workbook cannot be shared because it contains Excel tables or XML maps." I tried removing the tables, but this seems to destroy the link to the data source. Is there any way of sharing this document with a table, or any other way to go about doing this?
