Is it possible to have assign a sheet name a variable ? or to have the sheet name equal to one of its cells??

thanks

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
You can use VBA to change the sheet name to match a particular cell's value. You can use a formula to extract a sheet's name into the cell. Who's the leader and who's the follower? Does the sheet name determine the cell's contents? Or does the cell's contents determine the sheet's name?

What I want to do is have the sheet name automatically update to be equal to a certain cell. Is that possible??

thanks

Yes, how familiar are you with VBA? Have you dabbled in the VBE (Visual Basic Editor) some? Or this would be completely new?

sheet name

I have just dabbled in VBE but I was mostly curious if it was possible on the excel front end.
