show a value in a userform

I set up a text box on my userform and in the properties window set the control source property to sheet1!a1. Whatever is in this cell will always be the value shown in the text box.

i have a userform for analysing my expenses.....
I did as u said on my userform......but it gives me msg telling
could not set the controlsource property. Invalid property value

however, i did the same thing on a new userform, it worked fine.

could u please tell me why ?

Hi,

Rather than using Sheet1!A1, name Sheet1!A1 in the Name box in Excel (upper left hand corner right above column A) to something like EXPENSES.

I am not totally sure but I think the Control Source does not like breaks in words without having the _ in between.

Not totally sure, but give it a try.
