Hi all

I have a source report that shows a unique ref in col a,
a number of reason codes in col b (up to a dozen per unique ref code).
but it duplicates the total value of the unique ref for each reason code in col c
How can I show the value against the unique ref and 1st reason code (not always the same) no values against the rest
eg
col a unique ref col b reason code col c amount
12345 a 100
12345 b
12345 c
22345 c 120
22345 h
32345 b 230
32345 h
42345 a 110
52345 v 340
52345 d
52345 a

currently source report has same value against each line so 12345 has 3 100's and looks like it totals 300 but is actaully only 100

Thanks

Rick

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)

Is this the sort of thing you are after? If not perhaps you could give another sample data and expected results with XL2BB?

Solution
Thanks
that will work by adding column in source report and gives me the correct figure for adding to other reports that use the same info.
