Hiya,

I have the following formula:

="W/C "& TODAY()-WEEKDAY(TODAY(),2)+1

Which will calculate the day of last week. However i do not know how to show this in the proper format. At the moment it returns:

W/C 39636

Because the cell sees text as well as a date value i cannot format the cell as a date :/

Can anyone help? Thanks

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
As an alternative why not use your original function?

=TODAY()-WEEKDAY(TODAY(),2)+1

Then custom format the cell as:- "W/C" dd mmmm yyyy

or however you need to format.

Regards,
Kelbo.
