If I have recorded measurements regularly over a set period of time, is it possible to use excel to show the number of occurrences of consistent increase/decrease? For example, if I have recorded measurements daily for one year and I am interested to know the number of times the measurements showed an uninterrupted increase over a period of seven days (beginning from the first data point), is there an excel formula or series of formulas that will enable me to do so?
