Showing predicted classes for school over years.

Hi,
I have been asked to look at making an Excel file that will show current classes in the school I work. The feature required is that it will show how the classes look in the future, 2011, 2012 ec. The problem is that pupils of all ages can be listed to enroll the school for later dates - if they move state etc.

Now, I am not an Excel expert but I think that is something I can manage that in a simple form. However, there is another problem, there are two intakes for the reception classes and one starts half way through the year - they do six terms. So, rather than rolling classes on by a year each time, one class will stay as reception for 18 months.

I have not done any VBA yet.

Apologies for what seems a rambling post.

Many thanks for any advice.

Are you trying to estimate the number of students that will be in each grade level? For future years? Do you have historical data of the same? Please restate what you want to achieve. Show a worksheet of whay you want to see and explain it.

Thanks for your reply Phil.

I've got to go to bed now as its getting late here in South Australia. I will attach a file tomorrow. I think that although student numbers per year will be measured, seeing those kids in the class will also be required.
