Silly Question with VLOOKUPS

I have a large vlookup recing two files together.

When I copy the formula down, it is looking to the right fields, but I have to go into the formula and return/tab out for it to update the figiure

Ex.

=VLOOKUP(E79,'03071808'!$A$1:$BJ$1033,6,FALSE)

But it is grabbing the value I had in the formula from the line above, but if I tab out of the formula it updates as it should, but I really do not want to do this to update 500 rows.

Thanks again, you guys are great.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Is your calculation set to manual or automatic?

Maybe it is just a property of Excel 2007, but when I save my spreadsheet the vlookup auto-updates with correct values.

Sounds like your calculation method is set to manual. You need to change it to automatic
