Simple Formula Help

Hello Excel pro's! I need a cell to be populated with REPLY RECEIVED when the word YES is entered into another cell. I am going to use this for an entire column.

Say Yes is entered in A1, then in B1 put if(A1="Yes","REPLY RECEIVED",""), you can copy and paste this down.

Ok I must have some formatting wrong in the cells or something because when I enter in the formula it just shows the formula.
Any suggestions?

Hi, format the cells where you are going to place the formula as General and then re-enter the formula.
