Hi,

i am doing a simple thing.

i have two sheets, having data in one of them(say Sheet2), say A1:B20

in the other sheet i am using these values,

Say in one if the cells in Sheet1, i say A100=sheet2!A1, i expect the value to come up, but then the cell in sheet one(A100) shows me the formula instead.

Any IDEAS, please.

Thanks in advance,
Bhanu

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Click in the cell with the formula showing and go to Edit/Replace and replace = with =. Somehow the cell with the formula got formatted as Text.
