Simple Formulas Not Working

I have a very simple formula of =SUM(A2:A16) in A17 but whenever I change any of the amounts in the range the total stays the same in A17?

This has started all of a sudden as the total always used to change automatically to the changes I made in the range.

Click the Office button (top left), click Excel Options, click Formulas, make sure that Automatic Calculation is selected, click OK.

That worked thanks. I wonder how that became manual, I didn't do it.

I think there's an ALT + key combination that toggles it on or off.
