Anyone know how to calculate interest for a mortgage? This is what I have so far but i cant get it to work. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Dim perdiem As Double
Dim numdays As Long
Dim upb2 As Long
Dim intd As Date
Dim pr_rate As Double
Dim settledate As Date
Dim interestcalc As Long
loancount = Worksheets("Funding Memo").Range("D14")

Set loancount2 = Worksheets("MLS").Range("A1:A65000")
answer2 = Application.WorksheetFunction.Count(loancount2)

For a = 2 To answer2
upb2 = Worksheets("MLS").Columns("AF").Rows(2)
pr_rate = Worksheets("MLS").Columns("AH").Rows(2)
perdiem = Application.WorksheetFunction.Product(pr_rate, 0.00003)
intd = Worksheets("MLS").Columns("AD").Rows(2)
settledate = Worksheets("Funding Memo").Range("A3:A3")
numdays = Application.WorksheetFunction.Days360(intd, settledate)
interestcalc = Application.WorksheetFunction.Product(perdiem, numdays, upb2)
Worksheets("MLS").Columns("DI").Rows(2).Select
Selection = interestcalc
Next a
End

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.

Look in the Excel help and search interest. Hopefully one of those functions are the ones you are looking for, if not you'll need to explain what exactly you are looking for?

Interest between periods? accrued interest so far... etc
