hey everyone, g'day!

i'm looking to merge 3 columns, but the merge-cells button tells me that I can only keep data in the upper right or something like that....

anyway here's the deal:

Column name: A B C
345 789 6798

and I want it all in one like:

A
3457896798

can anyone of you masters help me out??

Assuming your data starts on line 1, in D1, enter:
=A1 & B1 & C1

This will sew them together in one cell. Then you can do a Copy | Paste Special | Values on the column if you wish to get rid if the formulas and hard code the result (and paste back to column A, if desired).
