Hi folks,

Can anyone tell me the syntax to set a Range equal to the current selection.
For instance, suppose I have:

Dim NewRange as Range
Set NewRange = ? (current selection)

I've only ever used the activecell.currentregion, but in this particular circumstance I only want to work on a specific area of cells that contain data values, not the entire region of cells that are not seperated by a blank line or column. Many Thanks.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Re: Simple Question: Set range equal to the current selecti

How about:

Set NewRange = Selection

HTH,

I should have known that. It just seemed like it would be too obvious. Thanks!
