Hi,

I have command buttons that work just fine in excel 2007. I can put info into a cell and immediately click on a command button and it runs the macro.

When I open the same sheet in 2003, I have to click onto another cell (not putting anything in) and then click on the command button before the macro runs.

Can anyone tell me why this is please. Or have I missed the obvious.

Sorry if it's a bit of a daft question. It's bugging the hell out of me!

Thanks,

stewart

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
It sounds like you are forgetting to press the Enter key after entering your data.

Fair comment GlennUK, but I don't have to do this with 2007. I can go straight from the cell I have entered the data and then click the command button. 2003 doesn't let me do this.

I wonder if it has something to do with the vba code maybe....?

I've just checked and I can't do that in 2007 ... if I'm in Edit Mode in a cell it won't let me click a button. That's an ActiveX button embedded in a sheet. What type of button do you have?
