I am trying to create a bar chart and it is appearing almost as if it is a line. I have done this in the past, I can't figure out how to adjust the width of each series.

Sure would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
Maybe:

Format Data Series > Series Options > Gap Width

0% should equal wide bar; 500% should equal skinny bar.

It sounds as though you have too many X axis values. Is the X axis using dates perhaps?

You need to change the axis type to a category axis rather than a date one, or it will try and plot all the days of the year.
