Slicer for multiple pivot tables from different data source

Hello,
I was following this video below from Mr.Excel (
) and followed it EXACTLY the way it was described but I am unable to get my "SlicerSource" table slicer to control both pivot tables. I checked the filter connections and its checked for both pivots. But the slicer is only controlling one pivot. What could be the reason for this not working? I've tried doing this multiple times but no luck at all.
