Slicer & Value filter not working (not retaining selected values)

Hello,

Although I've used this forum for years to help me out with several challenges, this will be the first time I actually post a question :)

I'm using a PowerPivot table to run a dashboard for production data. In the dashboard are several slicers. The dashboard is has been successfully used on several clients for about a year now (all clients use Win7 32bit, Excel 2010 and the 2008-R2 PowerPivot add-on) Now suddenly on only 1 client we are seeing some weird behavior:

When I select a specific value in the slicer, the selection is not "accepted" meaning the slicer keeps the same selection as before the change. Other slicers in the same file work properly.

I've tried changing the value filter straight on the pivot table and this gives the same result. When I un-check some of the values and click ok nothing happens and when I go back into the value filter I see that the changes I made in the check-boxes are not there anymore.

What could cause this behavior and how do I solve it?

Regards, Jorrit

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Jorrit,

I had a similar issue once. Mine turned out to be an error in my PP table refresh process. To correct it I reloaded the data again, refreshed, save, closed and restarted my spreadbook, and all slicers were working again.

Good luck.
