We seem to have a problem with the slow opening of excel spreadsheets, we have a number of machines running on windows xp which access via the network a seperate drive (snap Server) on which we store various spreadsheets ( probably a few hundred small files), we dont access the same files at the same time. Some of these file are also CSV files if that makes any difference.
I have removed software firewalls on the pc's as I was told this could slow it down but am still getting the same problem.
Is this a common problem that you have to live with or can it be improved?
