Soft Return in Cell

I'm trying to enter a soft return into a cell to force a return for formatting purposes. Alt-enter doesn't work for the job I'm trying to do.

I'm trying something like:
(IN cell sheet4!A4 I have the formula)
=sheet1!A1&sheet2!A2&sheet3!A3

I want each cell value to show on a different line such as:
A1
A2
A3

Does anyone have any suggestions?

format cell as wrap text.
