Hello,

I have a need to extract a large amount of data from PDF files into Excel. The PDF files were created a while back from an AS400 system by a former employee. The remaining people in the group I work in don't have the skills set to determine how to rerun the files in the AS400 that output in excel format.

I remember working with a stand alone software package many years ago that allowed the user the ability to extract data from pdf and other file formats by matching patterns. I don't recall the name of the software, I though it started with an "M".

Does anyone know the name of the software that I'm referring to? Otherwise is there other reccomended software that performs the same functionality?

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
In Adobe reader you can go File > Save as text.

You can then import it into excel from there.

Hope it helps.
