I AM HAVING THE DATA OF 214 BRANCHES, OF FIXED ASSETS, NOW I HAVE TO CALCULATE THE DEPRECIATION RATES. IN THE DATA FURNISHED % OF DEPRECIATION RATE IS NOT FURNISHED.
wHETHER I HAVE TO ENTER IN ALL THE BRANCHES THE PERCENTAGE INDIVIDUALLY OR IS THERE ANY FORMULA WHICH UPDATES IN ALL THE BRANCHES.LIKE CONDITIONAL FORMATTING.

Sir, actually, the current value is the cumulative depreciated value upto the previous year. Now i want to put the percentage on each category for eg. Electronic items 33.33%. Bicycles 20% on the right side of the each category and to arrive the fresh depreciation value for the current year. AND WHETHER I HAVE TO TYPE INDIVIDUALLY FOR EACH BRANCH THE PERCENTAGE LIKE 33.33% AND 20% AGAIN AND AGAIN ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ITEMS. OR IS THERE ANY OTHER SIMPLEST METHOD WHICH CAN SAVE THE TIME. SINCERE THANKS FOR THE SOLUTION PROVIDED.

You should seriously get that capslock key looked at by a professional. Could be serious.

I believe your sample data needs an example from YOU what the final result should be/look like. I offered a simple percentage calculation, but only you can show us what you're looking to accomplish, so please do so with all the sample data you posted originally so we can see before/after.

Also, if the depreciation "rates" for every item is different, you ARE going to have to add a column to your data set that indicates the yearly depreciation rate for each item. If they are all the same depreciation rate, then you can put the rate in a single cell somewhere and just refer to it over and over again.

I have to add a column on the right side of the current value,and put % on every item. My problem or the question is whether I have to type or enter every time for the steel item certain % individually all the times for 214 times.for all the branches & certain % for wooden items for all the branches. individually. Is there any method or solution if I once enter certain percentage say 33.33% for electronic items, it should be copied to all the branches wherever electronic items are there on the right side of the current value column. so that I can save the time.

As i have not receivede any solution/help/suggestion, regarding putting the percentage on the right hand side of the column, now my friend told me to try if condition, can I get the formula how to use that formula in If condition-for steel furniture, wooden furniture, typewriter, motorbike, bicycle etc putting the percentage in the formula.

I have got the solution, but after using the if condition, in the empty cells, i am getting the result as false, how i can remove the false in the empty cells, i tried in control + find, i tried find false, and i looked in the formulas, as value it is showing the false in the columns, but it is not replacing with null values.

Please help / guide me in this .

If you raise the problems lke this, you will never get a solution.

Either you need to send a sample copy of your file or upload your file to either Rapidshare website or some other website and send the link.
