Okay, I’m stuck:

I need to color code a date header that changes over time. If the month listed in the header is DEC – FEB, I need the font to be red. If it is MAR – MAY, the font should be GRN. If it’s JUN – AUG, it should be BLUE. If it’s SEP – NOV it needs to be black. Since I really only need three conditions to color code everything except the last three months (which can remain the automatic black) I figure I can use conditional formatting for the cells. However, the problem that I’m running into is the first DEC – FEB which equates to defining a month range between or equal to 12 – 2 which I cannot make work. Please help.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
You can use OR in CF in "Formula is"-box

=OR(MONTH(A1)=1,MONTH(A1)=2,MONTH(A1)=12)
