I understand Excel's Solver has a constraints limit of 100.

Here are 3 constraints:

Code:
A1=B1
A2=B2
A3=B3

Is the following also considered to be 3 constraints or just 1?

Code:
A:1:A3=B1:B3

The problem I am trying to solve exceeds the limit of 100 constraints and I am trying to "squash it down" by combining them.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"

Yes, A1:A3=B1:B3 represents 3 constraints.
If you need more constraints, then look at the alternative free add-in OpenSolver OpenSolver for Excel

I have installed open solver but it seems the free version only solves linear problems.

Am I mistaken?

You can try the Advanced version of OpenSolver, which includes a couple of non-linear solvers.
Likely a better solution would be to make your model linear (if possible). If you post your model, then we can have a look.

Afraid it contains sensitive info, so can't disclose openly.
