Has anyone worked with Excel's Solver? Have a need that requires: If Solver is not loaded on Auto_Open.. loaded it.

And on the flip side in the Auto_Close... if any sheets are added to the workbook with Solver, that before they are deleted, there is a request made to save them locally before they are removed.

I always thought that anything that Solver did could be worked around witht a macro doing a bunch of validations, but I was assured that this could not be done. For some reason they still have not explained the actual use of Solver to me yet... but i am researching that now.

Any help or comments would be appreciated.

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
You can add it by using the macro recorder very handy sometimes...

Code:
Sub Macro9()
'
' Macro9 Macro
' Macro recorded 31/03/2009 by USER
'

'
    AddIns("Solver Add-in").Installed = True
End Sub

Now search onExcelstart to run this add in with an if statement and you shuold be all good.
