Hi All,
THis is for Excel 2007. I have a piviot with the following fields. I am having trouble trying to sort the piviot by CHg from Highest to lowest $. I tried highlighting the whole column to sort. Just one value in the column to sort. Zilch. The sort option on both brand and gender is set to manual.

Is there a way to do this without moving the columns around? Values are Sales, Sales LY, Chg, Units and Units LY. Thanks!

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Are the Chg values text? or are they customformatted for the '+ and '- sign. If they are text, then it can't be sorted numerically.

No that was just an example. They are in numerical format not text. It is based on a formula within the pivot

I cannot move that Value Column over to a Row Label since the column I am refering to has been created via a formula embedded in the pivot.

Thanks

I never suggested doing that. I am suggesting that you sort a text column, by a value column. For instance, select the dropdown arrow on the header of a text column (row label). Select 'More Sort Options'. Choose the calculated field to sort by from either the Ascending or Descending dropdown menus and press OK.
