Sort by "including specific word"

Hi guys

I have out firms Excel database including all our clients, both individuals and companies.
All the companies include the word 'LTD' at the end.

How can I sort (or filter) the list to show only cells which include the word LTD?

You could use a helper column:

Lets say your list of companys is in Column A, And in Column B you are going to identify which are ltd and which aren't.

You can then filter column B to only include Ltd.

In B2:

=IFERROR(IF(FIND("ltd",G3)>0,1,0),0)

This gives all companys including ltd a 1, and anything else a 0.

You can then use filter on column B and untick 0.

You can use Autofilter to display those records which contain "Ltd" or end with "Ltd". Alternatively, if you prefer a formula approach, I would suggest:
=ISNUMBER(SEARCH("Ltd",A2))
