Is this possible? The usual sort allows only three sorts. I have done a search and options seem to be sorting by the least important colums and working your way backwards, or setting up a macro. I currently have data in columns up to CJ, so would tlke a long time to do either of these (plus my macro knowledge isn't fantastic!), and I suspect I will need to amend the data as well.

Are there any other options for me??

Regards,
Chris

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
You want to sort on 88 columns???? Do you mean that you may have duplicate data for up to 87 columns, and then different values in the 88th?

Each column is different data (name, county, age, sex, hair colour, blood type etc, etc) and so sorting will involve a lot of the columns, but we also need to amend how we want to sort quite quickly before moving onto the second sort, if you see what I mean??
