I have a name cell with both first and last names entered. I'm trying to sort the column by last name but it sorts by the first name since the first name is first :)

Is there an easy way to do this? I don't might building a command buttom and using code if need be just don't know where to start??? thanks

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Use a formula to extract the last name to another column, and sort by that.

There may be a more efficient way, but on first glance I would highlight the column with the names, select "text to columns", and delimitate by space. Then you will have the name in two separate columns and you can cancatinate the name so that the last name is listed first.
