I have column 1 with numbers and column 2 with titles of songs. I want to sort by column 2 alphabetically and keep their corresponding number from column one with the title in column 2...I can't figure out how to do this.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
I did that...the numbers do not follow along with the titles

column 1 Column 2
1 Amazing Grace
2 Whatever you Shall Ask
3 Calendar Girl
4 Amen Amen

Want the number 4 to move with the title Amen Amen

Just figured it out...the person using the sheet converted the first column into a formula 1 then a2 +1 - my original spreadsheet had numbers not formulas. That is what was causing the whole issue and it never dawned on me that they changed my column.

Thanks for your help
