Sorting Data Across Multiple Worksheets

I have several hundred files, each representing a different date and each containing roughly 500 rows and the same columns. I would like to sort each of these files in the same manner (while adding a few extra columns with calculations) with the ability to then compare and analyze the sorted and modified data possibly on one new worksheet. What is the most efficient way to tackle this kind of multiple file or worksheet data that needs the same sorting criteria applied to each sheet. Wanted to get some opinions before I start.

Some columns and rows need to be removed from each sheet as part of the sorting process.

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Thanks for the response. Its several hundred files. Each date and the accompanying data were apparently recorded as individual files. Its a good question, when I first received the files I started to copy and add them as worksheets in one master file, which was working but cumbersome. After about twenty I decided to reach out to the community to see if there was a better way.
