I have a column on a sheet with date/ times I want to sort. But to do so I need to pad the day and the month. Or change the date format on the column. But it will not change.
Any idea why?

jbklyman - Text to columns gives me results I can work with. Not pretty but workable. I can only parse the data into six new columns. Your post implied i could convert it to a date format. Cant make that work though.

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
So the data in column A from your last post is VERY different than the layout of the data in column A of your first post.
It is VERY important that you represent that data to us actually as it exists. We need to know what we are working with in order to help you fix it!

Is this last post exactly how the data comes over?
Do you need just the date, or both date and time?
