I would like to sort on a colum high to low - each row has data that applies to the row and that data must be kept associated with that row"

Tyr to show here Row 1 data ----------------- summary
data that goes with row 1
date that goes with row 1
Row 2 data ----------------- summary
data that goes with row 2
data that goes with row 2

This continues on for 40 or more rows.

Can I sort on the summary coumln and still keep the data under the approriate row ?
If yes, how do I do this - if I colapse the rows with the sort the data is of no value to me.

Hi Burdette,

Please show the sample data you have to get a best idea about the data
inside and the key column you want to sort.

Please use the most approximate content in your sample data showing
the desired output either.

Something like:

Excel Workbook
ABCDEF
1data-----------------summary
2datathatgoeswithrow1
3datethatgoeswithrow1
4data-----------------summary
5datathatgoeswithrow2
6datathatgoeswithrow2
Sheet1

To show a sample of your table you could use HTML MAKER.
