How does one cause Excel to Sort only a range of Rows (vs the whole column)?
e.g. Rows 15-30 Only
Column D has alpha names
Column E has numeric values

I wish to Sort on Column E (numeric) But only for Rows 15-30.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
welcome to the board.

simply selecting the area you want to sort, then sorting, should do it.

Thanks - but that doesn't do it under the conditions I have
In a blank sheet with direct values in the cells that works
But - I have references in my cells and I wonder if its sorting on them rather than the actual values
e.g. column W has Team Names -- X has Wins
Row 5 =S6 (value Tigers) =U6 (value 6)
Row 6 =S7 (value Reds ) =U7 (value
Row 7 =S11(value Blues) =U11(value 2)

After I select both columns and all Rows I Sort by column X - but after the sort its all mixed up and there are even values for the missing references (e.g. S8, U8 show up)
