Morning ,

I have a pivot table that i wish to sort by column (R) "Grand Total" , however all my attempts are just keeping the same
data in place and nor sorting as - large to small .
My pivot table is designed in the classic display , would be appreciated.

Russ

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
The sort will only happen within whatever row fields you have established. It would help to see what your PT looks like.

Hi Rory ,

Thanks for taking the time to view my post , appreciate it.

Unfortunately the data is business sensitive , i am sure you understand . I thought of a "work around " , by copying
the data as values only , and then performing a normal sorting routine . It works ... in short term ... as it is sales generated
piece of data i think i will have to attack the problem , maybe form a different angle

Thanks again , have a good weekend ,

Russ.
