Hi: I am working on a worksheet in which I want to sort various rows differently-for instance I have sorted rows A1:A65-no problem. I have another group of data A67:A100 I would like to sort, I select the range, tell what columns to sort by etc. and nothing is happening. I have tried with the data header checked, unchecked and nothing happens. Can someone please help me this? Thanks Mary

Hi Mary,

Are you sorting rows or cells? From what you've told us, you're sorting cells A1:A65 (Select the cells you want to sort, then using your ribbon, go to Data --> Sort --> Sort by "Column A," Sort on "Values," Order "Largest to Smallest", and press OK.)

Then you try to sort cells A67:A100. Do you go through all the steps listed above and nothing happens?

I'm sorry-I am actually sorting by columns within a certain range of rows. So I want to sort rows A1:A65 by Column G-largest to smallest, then Column A-from A to Z-no problem but when I go to the next range of rows and try to sort by Columns nothing happens. I can't sort the whole sheet at once because I have other data I don't want mixed in with the data above. Sorry for the confusion.
