I'm running access from a Windows 2000 Advanced Server and was wondering what can be done to open different forms faster from the client pc's? I have mapped the network drive on all clients, but have heard that it's also a good idea to have the front end of the database on all clients, while keeping the backend on the server? I'm not sure what is meant by the front and back end? Any ideas on how to speed things up. Thanks for any help.

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Hi
I haven't really answered your question but there is a good webpage here that discusses splitting a database.
