Spider Chart to look like a target

Does anybody know if there is any way to make a spider chart to look like a target i.e. with the centre rings of the chart shaded red, next set of rings amber and outer rings green? The lines and plots will then be shown to fall within these regions indicating whether they are Red Amber or Green.

I have created a similar chart, although I had a fairly large number of points so it worked well. I formatted the grid lines to have a custom gradient fill set to radial, then all I did was play around with end points of the various colours to get the following result.

Hi Stuart

I tried the following

- started with 3 doughnut rings
- changed the middle one to pie, to close the hole
- adjusted the ring widths
- added the points as a scatter series

You can use dummy series. Say the x axis scale is from 0 to 9000. Create 3 series containing 3000, 6000 and 9000 and plot as a filled radar chart. Make sure the series order is from highest to lowest so that they are all visible and set the appropriate area fill for each series. Then add your data setting the area fill to none and a suitable border colour and weight.

I read your post about drawing a target and forgot that in the title you wrote that you want a spider chart.
