Splash Screen on Cell Entry

Dears,

Hope you may help in this.

A User enters his employee code in cell B2

I am using an Index and Matching formula which will give hisname in cell C2

So when the user TYPE his Employee ID in B2 and press ENTER the C2 displays his name.
same while,

A splash screen flashes and there a message telling "Welcome Mr ######"

is this possible, in excel.

Yes, it's possible, but the splash screen requires VBA.
